The reigns of the 55th Annual Parada del Sol are held by Tammara Edgin. Along with a committee of 30 volunteers, the team will spend 10 months planning a full month of western themed events including the Parada del Sol Parade and Trail’s End Celebration in Old Town Scottsdale, the Kid's Corral Art Show, the Official Parada del Sol Art unveiling and elementary school assemblies. The fun is topped off with 5 PRCA rodeo performances and 2 rodeo dances. A portion of all proceeds benefits Scottsdale Jaycees Charities and the Scottsdale Community.
For 55 years, the Scottsdale Jaycees have provided personal and professional development to men and women ages 18 - 40. Events such as the Parada del Sol Rodeo enable the Jaycees to fulfill their goals of personal and professional development, community improvement and maintaining the history and traditions of Scottsdale. The Scottsdale Jaycees conduct general business meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm. Project planning, and social events occur throughout the month. Check the calendar to see where we will be next. The Scottsdale Jaycees Herb Drinkwater Clubhouse is located at 8102 E. Jackrabbit Rd. in Scottsdale.
You, your family, and friends won’t want to miss the opportunity to see the action, support the community, and participate in a little Scottsdale tradition! At least 300 volunteers are needed to guarantee our success. Join the team today!
